We’re getting set now for our Charity Fundraiser and support day on Saturday June 15th! All proceeds are going towards the Irish Cancer Society.

On Saturday morning we’re looking forward to welcoming people who have a lived experience of cancer, offering an opportunity to test out some paddlesports (including a dragon boat, and kayaks and stand up paddleboards) and spend some time on the water. Saturday afternoon is a more family-centred affair with a charity paddle/walk along the Barrow Blueway which follows the Grand Canal Athy Branch from Monasterevin out towards Ballykelly. This will be about 2km each way, a no pressure paddle and walk to enjoy the surrounds of the canal environment. Paddlers will need to bring their own boat, paddle, helmet, buoyancy aid and gear. Children and families welcome but children MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY A PARENT/GUARDIAN if they’re on the water. We’re hoping to have a bit of a party with buskers and other entertainments arranged – check out our facebook for more information on the event.
